The below was sent to me in an email, complete with pictures of the individuals mentioned. I tried to copy and paste it in its entirety, but the pictures did not come through.

Oh well...you will still get the gist of things.

When word reached Washington , Undersecretary of Education
Martha Kanter

was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million
in stimulus money for the university.
Thankfully, Craig Robinson's job is safe for another year

Now comes the interesting part of our story....
For those of you unfamiliar with Coach Robinson,

he just so happens to be the brother in law
of none other than our country's beloved President Obama,

NOW YOUR CATCHING ON......
that's right he is the brother of Michelle Robinson Obama!

But hey, can't we all come to the conclusion
that Coach Robinson's
job security was all just a coincidence?
I'm sure of it .... Aren't You?
Thank Goodness For The Stimulus!!!
But $17 million for one job? I wonder what mine is worth?

It's only what you know when you research the facts. First of all, that "news" is from 2010. And if you check this snopes link you'll see the story is false.

There are enough legitimate issues to complain about without resorting to chain emails.

I toss out stuff that I know isn't directly meant for me and 99% of anything forwarded to me be folks that I do know. If I spent my time looking at all the stupid emails with, "fwd fwd fwd fwd fwd" on them I wouldn't have a real life to get on with.

   Also....Snopes is a good friend who I usually check when "wondering" about validity, but had trust in this source.

   And Seren...you are correct, there are many legitimate issues to complain about with this pair. I will try to insure the next time I post one of them it is current...and, hopefully, correct.

A prime example is a story that a significant number of Republicans in Alabama and Mississippi believe Obama is a Muslim. When one digs into the story a bit it comes out the story originated from a so-called poll conducted by the Democratic front organization Public Policy Polling.

We're going to see a lot of Chicago type gutter politics this year so be on the alert.

Absolutely not: I'm taking about an unreliable and likely falsified, made-up poll. The methodology didn't even involve talking to live voters.
