Maybe it is time for Paterson to leave. I am saying because it looks as if the powers behind the NY Government is throwing whatever they can against him in order for him to leave. Baseball tickets??? While that would seem to be trivial in the depth of everything else it might just be the start of an onslaught. What a waste of time and money in mudslinging.

If it has to do with integrity, is it really mudslinging? I doubt it.

Things aren't good here but I would hardly call us the arm pit of the US. Every commoner in every state thinks their state is "the worst". At least we aren't as corrupt as Illinois. Look at the famous big time criminals that have run that state in the past, right from Al Capone to Blago, and don't forget everyone's favorite Sneaky Little Bastard; Barry Obama the wolf in sheeps clothing.

The state is almost bankrupt and our inept legislature is seriously considering mandating overtime for agriculture employees without doing anything to ensure the price farmers get paid for milk is above the cost of production. Yet the best the press can do is report that Patterson received free tickets to a Yankees game, and call for his resignation?? What he supposed did is not right, but we have more important issues at hand. All a Patterson resignation will do is ensure the legislature has the power to steamroll another crappy budget through Albany without fixing a damn thing.

How many TOP leaders in this state have had to resign or get thrown in jail? Christ, I can't even name them all there's been so many. From horny Spitizer to the top cop now. Bruno, Hevesi... ect., ect.... What a bunch of self-serving b*stards. New York is broke yet have we laid-off anybody. Cops? Teachers? Civil employees? ANYBODY? One friggen person? Ya, ok, things are just rosey in good ol NY. The number one taxed state in the union and we're number one in many other categories too. All bad though. You had better wake up cause if ya don't, you'll be the only one left. Maybe armpit was being to nice. How about ( fill in the blank).

As a former resident of New York State, I do know that you have the highest paid state legislature in the nation. I also know that you have the most disfunctional state legislature in the nation, and you are also in the top 3 for the most taxed states in the union. I voted with my feet. I moved to a state that has (for the most part) a functional state legislature. I can also live down here for about half of what it cost me to live in the Empire State. National Greed's tentacles do not reach down here, and my National Greed power bill at $380 (or higher) has been reduced to Duke Energy's $90 per month. Those who are still aboard the sinking ship can vote with their ballots, and throw these bums out! Besides Patterson, Shellie Silver needs to go, and also whoever is the current girl friend-beating or criminally charged idiot at the head of the New York State Senate.

One thing..... do we need the old fuddy duddy Patterson put into office to be Gov.... if we kick Dave out the door? I'd rather have stinky stay for the rest of the year. Maybe we could have no one for a few months? What a great thing that would be.

All of this makes me wonder how much "influence" the Governor's Office used to keep Paterson's kid out of trouble over the deal with the stolen credit card. Possession of stolen property in the form of a credit card or atm card would constitute a felony in New York. Contrary to popular belief 15 year olds can be arrested for misdemeanors and felonies. Too bad they didn't put the little rat bastard in front of a Family Court Judge.

Remember Mario Cuomo. The way things are headed your going to have your fill of his son. The truth is that from Washington to Albany to county to city goverment once in office, they protect there own interest not that of the people who voted them in. Like using the word budget in the same sentence as goverment?

I think I will make a sign and wait outside on his next trip to Watertown. I will show him my anger. Once he sees my sign he will know what's wrong. Darn him. I will wave that sign so hard he will think I'm a windmill. Go away Dave.... one good sign. Shave you moron.... another. Take a look Dave... ha.

All this does not solve the problems that plague this state . Fortunately for me and mine we will be gone back to California, but New York will always have their problems unless something drastic is done. Get rid of them all?? Now there's a question.

California may be "broke" but watch and see who the Feds bail out first. My bet is California because New York seems to be a losing battle. I may be wrong but I don't think so. Why shpould any state, New York or California or etc. be bailed out? If I can't pay my bills I dig deeper and find a way since my credit is AOK and I wish to keep it that way. The people who have had to cope with having to dig deeper and do more with less should be the ones running the various govenments, but we all know that that won't happen.

And were that to happen, who do you think "The Feds" get their money from? You're paying whether you stay here or go there. California has higher salaries but the cost of living is mind boggling! I rented a one bedroom flat for $1,000.00 a month when I lived in San Francisco in the late eighties. I have family scattered throughout California and they're even more unhappy there than we are here.

Well, Okay, however I own property there in California so I wouldn't worry about renting, and my taxes there in Central Pacific Coast area are as comparable here so that is not a problem for me. My question was concerning the expulsion of all or most politicians and replacing them with a new batch.

I have never had a problem with him wanting to cut the budget.... needs to still be done. He just wants to cut the budget for all us little people. He wants to take our parks. He wants to take our roads away. He wants our money in our pockets. He knows he can't touch the big boys. So we end out on the menu. Now with all his problems that have been brought into the light he couldn't cut the wind with a fart without having problems. Time for him to admit his time is over in Albany. Stepping out isn't admitting defeat. In fact if he was smart he would have a public meeting and out everyone just before stepping down. He must know the dirt on everyone. Do it with a smile Dave.
